Tolls on I-405?

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, they are:

“…considering adding up to two tolled express lanes on I-405 that would connect with HOT lanes in SR 167, creating a 50+ mile corridor from Puyallup to Lynnwood. These new lanes would be in addition to existing toll free general purpose lanes…”

So do you want to pay for the privilege of driving on I-405?

Give your government a piece of your mind.

Tax Increase for King County?

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

Raise taxes or we’ll be cutting things you care about seems to be the message from our new King County Interim Executive, Kurt Triplett. According to a recent Seattle Times article:

King County Executive Kurt Triplett asked the County Council on Friday to put a tax increase before voters, saying the government otherwise would have to close 39 urban parks along with some public-health clinics and regional police services.

So do you think this is the best solution?
